Welcome to the Everyone Outdoors Together Media Hub

Everyone Outdoors Together (EOT) is a national Canadian movement creating a lasting annual tradition centered on wellness, nature, and community. Led by the Canada Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA), the platform drives public awareness year-round, culminating each summer in a synchronized nationwide event: The Great Canadian Sunset Moment.

On the third Saturday in July—July 18—Canadians from St. John’s to Victoria and Windsor to Whitehorse will step away from screens and head outside together. Whether gathering on a beach, a trail, a neighborhood street, or a backyard, the entire country will pause simultaneously to share a synchronized sunset or midnight sun experience.

Spokesperson Quotes

Martin Sampson, CEO, CPRA

"Some of our most meaningful memories are created outdoors – around campfires, on trails, at parks, on docks, and in neighbourhood gathering places," said Sampson. "Everyone Outdoors Together is about creating more of those moments and reminding ourselves of the power of community, nature, and human connection."

Jack Shaw, Partner, Arqtic Canada

"For Arqtic, the most impactful stories are the ones that move a country toward a healthier, shared future. Everyone Outdoors Together is a beautiful reminder that our collective health is entirely connected to the health of the land itself. If our campaign helps to amplify the work of those working to steward and protect these landscapes, then that is a true win for Nature."

Jacob Gorenkoff, CEO, Homeward

“Canada’s landscapes are central to who we are. At a time when the world feels increasingly divided and uncertain, Everyone Outdoors Together is a reminder of what still brings us together: our parks, our communities, our shared love of nature, and the privilege of calling this place home. This campaign is about celebrating the outdoors as part of Canada’s identity - and reconnecting people across the country through the places that bind us.”
